Art in the Park

First post ever.

Gorgeous autumn day—warm, cloudless—perfect for GG Park and viewing the Quilts of Gee's Bend at the de Young.  Some days there's the pressure of squeezing as much life out of a beautiful day as I can, like today, and I run out—Carpe Diem!!  Other days I can pull myself together just enough to take in the sun under the apple tree.  I pray that days like today will occur more frequently, until one day, I no longer have to tick them off the calendar.

Mindfulness teaches us to savor each moment, to live it completely, and to breathe.  Believe me, every moment I can breathe deeply, I savor.  This begs the question, should I really savor an elevator full of stinky people?

And now to register for NaNoWriMo.
