What I learned today

1. Good news – no blood clots.
2. Brain MRI’s recommended every 6 months for lung cancer patients 2 years out from diagnosis.
3. Afatinib + cetuximab has not been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier.
4. No good data regarding onset, duration, or tumor strains/characteristics likely to lead to Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis.
5. Fear sucks. Husband being 14-hour flight away sucks more. Husband going to Antarctica while one is terminal is just absurd.
6. Maybe I should purchase a satellite phone.
7. I am Sisyphus.
8. I need an admin assistant.
9. Bitchin’ Kitchen rocks! Although many of the recipes look sketchy. Funny though 😉

  1. 1. Terrific news!
    2. Wish it was gone and you never needed one again.
    3. Um-kay. Weird thing that brain barrier…
    4. Good enough reason to sing, “Always look at the bright side of life”
    5. Fear does suck and Antartica is a world away. Wish there was some way to be able to teleport from place to place instantly. Go to work and be home in a flash. Pop home for lunch even or maybe meet in Paris for a littel snack before bedtime.
    6. The phones are expensive, but you can use them anywhere on the surface of the world. I almost ogt one, just before the biggest and earliest startup company went bankrupt and had to watch their satellites de-orbit and burn up in the atmosphere.
    7. Just picture a dung beetle as a smaller Sisyphus, but with a smellier burden to push uphill. You do totally “rock” though.
    8. If I had the time, I’d be honored to come be your administrative assistant. We would kick major ass and accomplish buttlaods of important and not so important stuff all while cooking up a storm.
    9. Some recipes are just not meant to be played with. Others are just ripe for improvisation. The key is to locate the golden ones and write them down for future generations to enjoy.
