October off to a crazy start, like the rest of 2013

It’s been a very, very busy week. Max, our male Siamese, had a thoracic needle biopsy yesterday (Oct 1).  Poor little guy, he was such a trooper. The ER doctor (Timothy Concannon at California Veterinary Specialists in Ontario) thinks it’s lung cancer, but we get the cytology report today.  Astoundingly, it cost less than we thought.  This sometimes happens with Hubs.  Doctors like him – he’s quiet and to the point, while the waiting room is filled with crying girls willing to fork over thousands of dollars for their ailing pet.  Hubs just says, “I’m worried about paying thousands of dollars for a terminal diagnosis”. To which they respond, “It won’t cost that much”. They actually refunded him payment.  Meanwhile I was at my PCP appointment, who said, “I grew up on a farm. It’s time to put your cat down.” Sigh.

More updates later.
